FinCEN - Financial Crimes Enforcement Network

Through the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), banks and thrifts play an important role in our nation’s efforts to fight terrorism and financial crimes, primarily by filing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). A link to FinCEN’s web site for Law Enforcement Cases Supported by BSA filings is provided to promote understanding of the important contribution CTRs and SARs make to the law enforcement effort.
